Little Reader Teacher - Milton ON

Oxford Learning Centre in Milton is looking for a qualified E.C.E. staff member who is creative, enthusiastic and a dedicated team player who enjoys working with children ages 3-6 years.

The Little Reader Program is a half day literacy program for preschoolers which develops cognitive skills and fosters a love for learning. Oxford's enriched academic curriculum includes reading, writing, math, music as well as weekly science, French, and craft activities. Candidates must be able to commit until the end of the 2009 school year.

Excellent training and support provided. Only candidates with and E.C.E. Diploma (or Letter of Equivalency from the Association of Early Childhood Educators will be considered).

A strong candidate will have the following:

• E.C.E. Diploma or Letter of Equivalency from the Association of E.C.E.
• 2-3 years post diploma experience in a child care setting preferred
• preschool experience and expertise is an asset
• Must know how to speak some French
• Experience developing and implementing pre-school program plans
• Computer literacy skills are an asset
• Able to work flexible hours (between 9am – 6pm)
• Able to effectively work in a cohesive team setting and independently
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and management
• Knowledge of City Criteria and Ministry legislation requirements and standards
• Employees must provide clear health and criminal reference checks as a condition of employment

Part-time French Teacher - Milton ON

Our teachers are passionate and enthusiastic about education and the Oxford Learning program, dedicated to helping students achieve success!

Candidates must be available evenings and must be able to commit until the end of the 2009 school year.

Excellent training and support provided. Our curriculum is individually customized for each student based on our dynamic assessments. No lesson planning is required!

A strong candidate will have the following:

• Great sense of humor and the ability to relate to young people
• Must be fluent in reading and writing in French language
